Poster presentations on Karelian Finns

This week, second-generation SoMus were giving poster presentations in class. All posters were related to Karelian Finns in Finland, a language minority which still needs attention from researchers and support from the state. SoMus presented the results of their mini research, focusing on the topics related to the Karelian language, its usage in different domains, intergenerational transmission, and self-evaluation of skills in their heritage language.
